Banks and Financial Institutions
Today we pray for banks and financial institutions, and all who work in the financial industry.
Pray this prayer: “Lord, your Word says that all riches and wealth come from you, and that you care for the economy of a city. We pray for your image bearers in the financial industry, who are so vital to a fair and flourishing economy. In the increasingly complex world of financial security, we pray they would safeguard money entrusted to their care, and that they would invest it wisely and loan it equitably. We pray for the employees of the Federal Deposit Insurance Agency in Florence and their work to build trust in our financial system. We also pray for those who provide financial advice, whether to the wealthy or indebted, that you would give them wisdom to know how best to serve their clients. And as we steward the resources you entrust to us, help us remember it is not money itself but the love of money that is a root of all evil, that our highest affection and trust would be in you. And may all who work with finances flourish as they connect more closely to you, others, themselves and your creation.”
